I personally get irate with reposts in new threads on compo days too, it is shit - existing threads are fine.

What I see here though is the same thing happening without even the decency to bother making an image, so I am considering it to be far more irritating.

The point of having a limited number of posts on each page is so that you don't have to download megabytes every time you visit the board. If you fill replies with more and more images that defeats the point of pagination. You are allowed to click on the "older" link, you know.

Maybe the solution is to allow users to configure threads per page.

but having a movie poster competition is like
those tv phone ins. 'which colour is a traffic light when you should stop ?' a - red b - ham - c lego. it encourages the most people to enter. rather than for people to do anything interesting. not that there isnt always great entries for every competition.
