Irony is misstated. If the pope hired a prostitute, that would be ironic. Irony is something happening opposite to prejudice.

Irony is also a development which is known by the observer to be against prejudice of the subject.
There is an incongruity between what you have written, and what is generally understood.

I remember you from way back, you used to be very vocal about racism and I always appreciate that, but you seem to be setting your hat at entirely the wrong angle this evening.
