I can't believe nobody's done a picture of her with a kestrel yet.
I would, if I didn't know that 30 people will have just started on it.

This week is getting rather confusing for those of us who haven't watched Star Trek.

Well, you know what to do!
They have DVDs now.
(
The Hedgehog From Hell, Thu 20 Mar 2008, 23:27,

Yep, I do.
I'll go find some DVDs that are more watchable than star trek.

But... you've never watched it.
So how, exactly, do you know?
(

My Dad is a fan of that kind of thing.
I've occasionally sat through the odd few minutes of it, before realising my terrible mistake.
It just doesn't seem particularly interesting or exciting to me, I have no reason to investigate it.

Fair enough.
I always found it amusing when I would be working with people for a while, then (for some reason) Star Trek would pop up in conversation.
I would mention that I like it, although I don't speak Klingon/have a Starfleet uniform/go to conventions/have a room full of indexed VHS tapes of it. The reaction of "URGH! YOU DON'T LIKE
THAT, DO YOU?" always amused me. I would then point out that said people had spent the morning talking about Eastenders, which I have no interest in and no wish to see, and yet I didn't react with such visceral horror at the mention of it.

Haha, it's just one of those things.
For whatever reason, it has an incredibly geeky image. I'm sure it's possible to be a casual fan without becoming obsessive and nerdy about it.
Probably.

I'm not going to compo

Is that from Bo Selecta?
I think you want the "worst comedy show ever" thread, it's just up there.

All comedy shows go from cool original to crass bindun to death
is the nature of the beast...
(

Indeed.
The scale of quality, however, is entirely separate from such considerations.
