certainly - Mo Wax used to be avery good record label with an impressive roster of cutting edge artist making interesting new music
then he decided there's more money in making vinyl figures of Money Mark and cobbling out slightly above average hipster-nowave mixes under the name Unkle... has he forgotten Berry Meditation? I love that record and he's doing his level best to cheapn it for me as hard as he can. ... I'm waiting for the same to happen with Death From Above records.
Thanks for listening.

you can't live in the past
you have to move on and hope that bad things happen to the people you don't like.

I think I agree with you.
I love Berry Meditation too, but haven't been arsed to buy War Stories (even though it has Autolux on it (who are very good - you should check them out)). :)

Another interesting music fact is, contrary to popular belief, Satisfaction by The Stones is not about sex.
It's about when they were to record in the US, I think it was at Chess Studios. They saw their
idol Muddy Waters, who had never made any real royalties from his records, employed to paint the
walls. The song is about their disillusion at seeing this.

everything is about sex
but some things are
also about Muddy Waters

And sex with Muddy Waters while he peals onions.
I always find that song depressing knowing how amazing and pioneering he was.

DFA are quality
The difference between James Murphy and James Lavell is that Lavbell*'s a self-important coke'd up arse who probably still thinks that Fabric is the cutting edge of cool and has an ego the size of a small European state and who probably wouldn't have got himself anywhere without DJ Shadow, while Murphy, frankly, has the funk.
So there.
*genuine spelling mistake. What a clever computer I have.

I don't think you can take coke
Without feeling self important:P

true, but he's self important AND takes coke. The double whammy.

Murphy does, indeed, have the funk
I am especially looking forwards to seeing Hercules and Love Affair at Glasto this year. That's how cool I am.

I imagine onions are more common in one's day to day existance
than James Lavelle... unless you are James Lavelle or his pants or something.

I have actually met her and she is quite pleasant. I did get the impression that she hid an impressive array of personaly images behind arrogance though.
