The animated series was good.
And bits of 2 and 3 were alright, but Anakin's turn to the dark side didn't even seem vaguely realistic.

i like eps II and III, but admittedly they tried too hard to impress, and forgot about a decent story line (also they're much closer in time line than the original three)

I started writing a play based loosely around episode III, except it was set in a 16th civil war and actually made logical sense.
