i loved lego. but would generally spend hours making some kind of base or something and then i would to go home for tea. if i had the money i would have a huge lego room full of lego minifigs and bricks and none of that star wars lego crap.

(, Sun 29 Jun 2008, 16:43, archived)
# Probably not, the motors aren't too strong
But I could knock up a fake in After Effects quite easily.

Next time I need to promote something via the newsletter I'll keep it in mind

# Did you not see the person who posted that comic here with the lego prostitute?

# What are they?
Everyone here is talking about them, but I don't know what they are.

EDIT: I like the pic, too. How rude. Woo!
(, Sun 29 Jun 2008, 16:35, archived)
# They're the bricks in the picture
They're like, err, cubes of plastic with soft "prickles" on them, which you can use to connect them to other bricks.

Structures built with them were not particularly durable.
(, Sun 29 Jun 2008, 16:38, archived)
# So like soft Legos?

I wish I had lots of Legos still. :[

# They need to make more modular stuff.
Except not just toys and crappy robots, actual decent stuff which you can just swap all the parts round and customise it.

Where is my modular computer you bastards? WHERE?
(, Sun 29 Jun 2008, 16:42, archived)
# Err, computers ARE modular.

(, Sun 29 Jun 2008, 16:45, archived)
# ^this

# LIES!
I'll believe you when I put eight processors in my computer and they actually fit in instead of being incompatible and unsupported by the motherboard.
(, Sun 29 Jun 2008, 16:50, archived)
# Get a better motherboard.

(, Sun 29 Jun 2008, 16:52, archived)
# Sorrrrrrt of, but they didn't stay together very well in my experience
It's the poor man's lego, and the bricks were much larger and in different shapes.

Sort of like a "My First Lego".
(, Sun 29 Jun 2008, 16:43, archived)
# Oooooh.
We have these things kinda like that, they're big square things with letters on them, and you connect them to make like...squareforts, and alphabet mats.
(, Sun 29 Jun 2008, 16:45, archived)
# and chewier

(, Sun 29 Jun 2008, 16:36, archived)
# ANIMALS?!
The geometric, spiked camel?
The pointy square penguin?
The short haired rectangular woodfinch?

*edit* Am I being too harsh on your inner child?
(, Sun 29 Jun 2008, 16:37, archived)
# I liked making animals!
What can I tell ya? Rabbits were my fave.
(, Sun 29 Jun 2008, 16:46, archived)
# Somehow more tactilely rewarding than lego
But not as able on the construction front.

/click for old memoryness.
(, Sun 29 Jun 2008, 16:31, archived)
# YES
