If you pull the body off an aphid's head while the aphid is sucking sap from a plant, the head will continue to suck sap for hours, and the sap comes dripping out of the severed neck.

Crap for the aphid, perhaps,
but I'm told that biologists find it very useful when conducting experiments on the transfer of nutrients via the phloem.

Aphids
are treated like bitches by ants. I saw a documentary where nasty ants had a 'farm' of aphids, who they'd milk of sap and generally humiliate. Ants are bastards in my opinion.
