Apparently...
As the 7th scum of a 7th scum she is the unborn one in the poetic sense, 'she' being preordained by her birthright to be a 'Maker of Things' endowed with gifts of 'second sight' 'predicting the future' 'healer' 'lucky' and a 'devil may care attitude' being referred to as the 'Divine One' or the 'Chosen One' who has a 'special purpose in life' for the 'Lord of Hosts' who is also cursed by the good & evil forces battling for his eternal soul.

Is there any ACTUAL evidence against her?
I know it's too late and that, but I've rnot read every single thing about it and I've not heard of any actual physical evidence against her.

I was wondering if anyone was more informed.

Timothy Evans admitted to the murder of his wife and child and was hanged.
when most people, including the legal system, now believe those murders to be the work of John Christie. I'm just saying, like.
Is that it? Just the confession?

Is that it? Just the confession?
This does lead to a question I asked last night.
How can a childs sole legal carer and guardian be charged with kidnap?
I am not arguining that what she did wasn't wrong, but the kidnap thing seems wrong to me. If you know what I mean....

according to wiki she was charged *only* with child neglect and perverting the course of justice, not kidnapping.

I want to know what happened to the kid in question?
Does she still exist? Not heard a whisper about her since they found her.
I'm sure she gave some form of evidence.

I would imagine all the kids are now probably in care
or therapy, or both.

I think it was mostly the testemony of her
"accomplice" and the fact that she claimed not to even know... also she's poor and ugly and fick and has too many children...
was there not also something from social services saying she was at least a partial threat to her children...?

I think they probably do a good job in hard circumstances most of the time
Although I don't know a great deal about the evidence presented to be found guilty by the Jury it would have to have been proven beyond a reasonable doubt -- otherwise it will get overturned at the appeal stage.

Sorry, blame me having dated someone who worked for them
who was not exactly social services material. Also- the stories I used to hear....

I'm sure a lot of them are complete tossers
- as are a lot of people.
I just think after this baby P thing there's a real chance for a complete over reaction which could ultimately put a lot of children (and people) at a higher risk.... I'm not sure 1 massive high profile cockup deserves the massive overreaction The Sun are going for.

Oh God yes, totally with you there.
Although conversely, for the next few months everyone's going to be really REALLY thorough, which can only be good.

Yay! A Star Wars reference I actually got!
Also, when I saw Jedi the other night, I realised why Fiat cars remind me of Star Wars. For years I used to look at the // \\ thing on the front of the grille and wonder why Star Wars kept coming to mind.
