that was the original title for the second Star Wars Prequel. Episode 1 was originally to be 'Revenge of the Cash Cow' and the final installment was, 'Screw you mom, I'm off to the dark side!'

# the finer things in life.

they're still showing repeats over here.
last night I watched the one where Alan is screwing Candy and Charlie is screwing Candy's mum Mandy and Judith screws Candy's dad Andy and they all wind up in the hot tub and shit
oh and Charlie gets hit in the head a bunch of times
(, Thu 12 Feb 2009, 3:28, archived)
# I like the one where Charlie comes to the realisation that we're living on a doomed planet which can only hope to reach a crescendo of self fueled violence and inevitable destruction.

Then cracks one off.

# I'm just pissed off because they still haven't shown all of the last series.
fucking shitty networks.

at least I'm finally getting the second series of Burn Notice.

# I haven't even heard of that, so clearly British scheduling can't be any better.
Or it's just shit and no-one wanted to buy it.

# it's pretty cool.
www.imdb.com/title/tt0810788/

of course I started watching it for Bruce but this Jeffrey Donovan fellow is a lot of fun too - great cheesy smile.
The weakest character (and acting) is Gabrielle Anwar's, but even she gets to blow shit up and kick arse, not just stand around with her bones hanging out.

# Oh you didn't say it was THAT Bruce.
I think English TV commisioners need to get off their arse and actually get some decent stuff made, I'm fairly sure they get scripts all the time but you only seem to get crap.

I want a version of Sex in the City with four upperclass gents set in London during the 1940s!

# heheh

yeah, the Brit stuff we get is mostly rubbish.
Every so often I'll find out here on this board about some cracking show that never saw the light of day down here.

Garth Marenghi's Dark Place

(, Thu 12 Feb 2009, 4:01, archived)
# yes, Nathan Barley I've seen
thanks to a friend who's got a massive crush on Julian Barratt.

Dark Place I have yet to investigate, but the name's been tossed around here quite a bit.
