I'm not sure it was a rule
I mean if there was a rulebook to doom I don't think there would be a rule that says "you have to turn your head when you aim"
also it would only be one rule broken if it was

Does anyone remember that game made on the duke nukem 3d engine
where you were some sort of martial arts instructor but you had lots of guns?
sometimes when you were shooting people he'd shout "YOU NO MESS WITH LO WANG"
I'd really like to know what it was called, I remember downloading the 5mb demo on a 14.4 modem

I'm going to disagree. Classic FPS games like Deus Ex, Doom, Quake 2 and Half Life were great - but a lot were appalling and luckily forgotten. Same as today - you have to wade through shit to get to the gems.

GoldenEye is a given.
I was more focussing on the PC side of things - I'm not sure GE ever made the conversion.
