The fuel they use is carcinogenic.
Given their primary use as cigarette lighters, that's a pretty big drawback.

Does it have any effect at the quantities you'd be inhaling using it as a lighter?
Also, if you're particularly concerned about lung cancer, you probably wouldn't be smoking.

Smokers smoke because they're addicted to Nicotine
not because they're weighing up health benefits.
You can't inhale a carcinogen many times a day for years and years without increasing your risk of cancer.

Yes, but if the increase isn't fairly large it probably won't even be noticable compared to the increased risk from smoking.
Sunshine is a carcinogen, but I'm not going to noticably increase my risk by spending a few minutes in it every day.
