Sometimes I write a response to someone a few pages back and never go back to look...

Is there some way of seeing replies to posts that I've made?

I do like the instantmessanger-esque way that
message tend to drop off the bottom, but it'd be nice to have a way of keeping worthwhile conversations going and a way of keeping track of old comments without having to make a library of bookmarks and checking them all...

That's not the point...
If i make, say, 100 random comments and only one of them gets a response it would be nice to have something that says "Hey, look, someone actually responded! Holy shit!". If I write something which i know i'm going to want to check back on then I'll check back on it.

Meh, I don't even have an icon so I guess I'm not really in a position to request features. It's just something I've always thought is missing.

Never mind! I'll just go back to spouting shit and leaving it there.

I see what your suggestion is, and it's fair enough. A friend of mine started posting here and found himself wanting something along those very lines. I guess it's part of the indefinable magic, you have to go looking for replies. Or something like that, anyway.
