I'm going to do the unthinkable now
and defend ITV.
Dropping the South Bank show was the result of the Government reducing their public-service agenda.
They've wanted to drop it for years, but it was the only show that fulfilled their Arts coverage remit.

To be honest, I never really liked the South Bank Show, and I'm usually into faggy art programs. In our time is a classic though.

That's the problem
He did the thing Jools Holland did of having a few douchebags like Will Young every now and then to keep the boss happy while he did a few on the Bolshoy Ballet or something, but then the former started to outweigh the latter.
