War on Terror, the boardgame - open gaming session with the creators at Housmans Bookshop, London

War on Terror, the boardgame has had a strange start in life - launched just a year ago, it's been banned from toy fairs, lambasted by the press and shunned by big business... but people love it. Why all the controversy? Well for one it's a board game and secondly it doesn't encourage or glorify the killing of Iraqis or Afghans. In short, it doesn't say the right things.

If you want to know what all the fuss is about and fancy playing a game, the creator and illustrator are holding an open gaming session at Housmans Bookshop at 5 Caledonian Rd this Saturday 23 Feb.

Things kick off at 1pm with a brief introduction to the game, followed by Q&A and then we'll get everyone into groups to have a go themselves. There'll be plenty of time for a full game (which can last up to 3 hours) if that's what you're looking for. We may even dish out a few prizes.

Housmans is an interesting place in itself and well worth the visit alone - a well established bookshop specialising in radical books and periodicals and all sorts of interesting bits and pieces.

Everyone welcome. Hope to see you there.

Play nice!
