I think there are pros and cons to this kind of place.
On the plus side, everyone knows everyone else and if someone doesn't turn up for a day's boozing, the others will probably ring his house or even send someone round to make sure nothing's the matter.
On the downside, they all look like they've wandered off the set of The Hills Have Eyes.
