To be fair, and not sarky, your setup sounds good for what you want to do. As a matter of fact, I've gaffer-taped-up all the dials on my J-Bass to full volume, full neck pickup. I use a fuckton of pedals to alter the sound, so the native 'sound' of a bass isn't much use to me, beyond the actual 'this is a kick-ass bass sound'..

This is a normal post Yeah, we put a lot of thought into this project, it surely wasn't just some random guitar.
Since my Bass-God is John Entwistle, I wanted to go for a lot of treble, while still keeping the option to go down, when needed. Worked out just fine.

The JB is definitely my favourite Fender model, my bass is pretty much a '75 JB with the above mentioned hardware. Looks good, sounds good, lots of fun playing it. ;)

What's your JB model?

It's a shitty Squier JB, very beat up. Had it for nearly a decade now. Sounds like hellfire though!
