I've never really listened to them in all honesty
Except for five minutes ago, following your above post.
Yeah. That's all good. I think they might have been a little before my time - I grew up with Slayer, Pantera and Sepultura. They have a pretty good sound, but I couldn't get into old Cannibal Corpse, plus a lot of the other 80's and early 90's thrash/death bands, because their production was absolutely shite - regardless of how good the songs actually were/are Once they grow a pair with their recording techniques, they were ready to be listened to by me.
Band an album on like The Negation by Decapitated in your earphones and you'll see what I mean.

Slayer, Pantera, Sepultura.
Grew up with them, too. Saw each one of them in their original lineups, as well as many others.
Ahh, the golden 90's. The final decade of good metal music.

Nice!
I saw Slayer and Pantera at Ozzfest '97, along with Sepultura the year after, with Derek Green.
I grew up with grunge as well, and finally got to see Soundgarden (play all of Superunknown) and Faith No More (not really grunge, but..) at Hyde Park a few weeks ago. That was ace.

Saw Soundgarden in Berlin last year, the old fuckers still had it.
Back in the 90's, I saw Biohazard, Machine Head and some others I can't remember now.
Had a ticket for Nirvana, but they had to cancel the show due to some shotgun related problems.

I think it may have been you who said this to me a few months ago?
Or some other (un)lucky bastard.
Yeah. I love Nirvana, AIC, Stone Temple Pilots stoner stuff like Kyuss, as well as downtempo electronic and chillout.
I've always hated mainstream rock though Fucking Guns 'N' Roses etc. Eurgh.

Yeah, I remember mentioning it to someone here, could've been you.
It was the show in Hamburg, Germany.
I was fucking devastated, been waiting for the show for months. Nirvana was THE band back then.
Never been a fan of G'N'R myself, couldn't get over Axl's toxic persona. I also regarded Slash as a shite guitar player.
