This is a normal post Yeah, I've wanted to play guitar for ages. It's on my list of things. Monotonic instruments are not very interesting in general.
It didn't take me long before discovering punk and indie, and just wallowing in it. It seems old now, but Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine. No trumpets there. I've recently gone back to listening to jazz, and for some reason I'm finding it really enjoyable. Not most of it, but Miles, Coltrane, Bill Evans. Nothing like heroin induced music.

It's like jazz, but to the nth degree - harder, faster, heavier, and more extreme. Try listening to something like Spawn Of Possession and try to analyse it musically, it's insane.
As for heroin induced music, Alice In Chains and Nirvana.

Don't worry, it's not difficult.

Are you American? I didn't go to grade school, I'm 30. Grades are what you measure music in. I've got grade 8, which means I can play lots of black notes.

And in my spare time I like psychedelics. And drinking. Like now. So, sorry if I'm talking shit.
