Not so much physical dimensions although I guess you could infer that. Fingerprinting of the sort described has been around for ages and is already used by lots of companies to tailor advertising, research, demographics etc.

Not just the resolution of the browser window (window.innerHeight) which will just report the size of the inner frame but "window.screen" will get the whole screen resolution too. Well, the monitor your browser is primarily running on anyway - it won't report multiple monitor setups.
