This stuff was shit in the 80's
Retro-shit is still shit, just hiding behind the 'oh we are retro-chic' excuse.
Fumpy old grucker I am

I'll be honest here, having just watched it all the way through, I prefer the trailer.

The first one was good, just right amount of ridiculous to cool.

whereas this just looks like they couldn't be bothered with anything resembling a plot to pad out the trailer
And what the fuck is going on with the crowd scenes, I know they could only afford one Nazi soldier but having him just mill around in all directions in the background rather than interact with the story looks fucking abysmal

I thought it was a parallel of 80's style side scrolling beat em ups
I'm sure one of the moves one of the Nazis is doing rings a bell from somewhere
funny as fuck

^ this
I thought it was a reference to the old Double Dragon style beat em ups where there would be half a dozen identical looking baddies to dispatch using physically impossible moves. I saw moves that have clearly been taken from Final Fight, Pit Fighter and Mortal Kombat.

Well maybe I'm easily pleased compared to you lot but I enjoyed that
Especially the Capcom/Taito esque beat em up moves, the dinosaur delivering the moral message at the end and a great soundtrack throughout. You can tell the writers had been playing Double Dragon & Final Fight and watching He-Man in their childhoods
