Good for him.
Why don't politicians have the balls to admit that many of them use drugs too?
Decriminalise and focus on therapy and rehabilitation for those that need it, and let the police focus their time on more important issues.

Therapy?
The man needs a decent webcam, to, erm, further his investigations.
Why castigate one of the few politicians who does thorough research on the task assigned to him.
If in charge of standards in bio agriculture you'd expect him to eat funny cheese and wallow in wellies in prime horse manure.

Exactly
I won't tell you which country, but I randomly met a 60yo guy who was their national drugs advisor, their "David Nutt". After a few beers, I asked him what his stance was on people taking drugs recreationally, and he said, 'Yeah I'm all for that mate!'.
I asked him what his best experience was and he said he went to Oz to watch the big wave surfers and they put several drops of acid in his drink and he sat watching them surfing. 'Best day of my life', he said. I asked when it was, assuming it the seventies or something. 'Last year', he said. Legendary.
