Not the first one at all.
In the 1920s-30s people still used to walk faster than today. In the following decades every filum made was shot in slow mo to make them watchable. This became unnecessary in 1960s when people finally learnt to slow down.

I seem to remember colour wasn't invented until the 30s either.
