As long as there is no pressure in it and it's the kid following their passion I've no problem.
A youngun from our kickboxing club at our last interclub tournament slipped on the mat, hurt her arm, shook it off and went on to win her fight and a medal. Turned out later she broke her arm. She wouldn't have been able to compete if we'd known, she insisted she was fine.
She was back training the next day with her arm in a cast. Some kids are as tough as old boots.
