They updated it a teensy bit something along the lines of "Give yourself more than a doors width clearance after checking that you are clear to pass".
That's from my 80s recollection though, so god knows if that's still the case.

And that is what he said was the case. The vids were 2017 so it looks like it's the case. Not always possible of course
