The sensor lights in the buildings at night are cool - you can see where people have walked along, and the lights turn them selves off in that order as well.

Obviously not in HD but if you have a mac and any video camera then just get yourself a copy of iStopmotion. it has a firewire control setting that will make any camera a timelapse camera as well as all the good stop frame stuff.

The top of the Lehman Brother's building (far left) changes from green to purple for a minute every hour. You can see it flash occationally on the timelapse.
