This is a normal post google edit their zeitgeist pretty heavily
most notably, they clearly filter navigational searches -- you know, those searches where people type "facebook", or even "www.facebook.com" into the search field.

(If I had to bet, I would guess that the top search on google is actually for "google".)

Pretty sure I've read elsewhere that they filter out porn-/sex-related ones as well.

This is a normal post They reference where they got their stats from at the end. MSNBC being one of them.
I found a chapter in one of my media books once when I was reading up for an essay, about the US congress investigation into the porn industry. The account of it was so funny I read the whole thing even though it had nothing to do with my essay, and I was seriously behind.

They showed porn in the committee, the gallery was absolutly packed apparently. Ill have to try and remember which book it was and find an online copy or something, Ive never laughed at an academic text so much (if at all).
