When I was 7 years old, I was quite ill for a few weeks with scarlet fever.
The high temperatures I was running at the time meant that I had what I assumed were weird, often terrifying, hallucinations- featuring a wild assortment of beasts of colour and form beyond human understanding, and noises beyond the realms of normal perception.
I'm starting to think that I was wrong, and in fact these were not hallucinations but that somehow the fever created some sort of psychic link. For a few wonderful but horrifying moments in time, I think I got a glimpse inside your mind.
