In 1951 his hunting party shot a tigress and three of her cubs, the fourth a white cub, was spared, and raised in the maharaja's palace. It bred with a normal tiger, but produced 'normal' cubs. Finally the tiger, Mohan was mated with it's daughter, Radha, who bore him four white cubs. Virtually every white tiger in the world is descended from this tiny gene pool, and are so inbred that they all suffer physical defects..
