This is a normal post Apparently,
for clever accountancy reasons, the Vatican value the Sistine Chapel at 1 Euro, as they do most of their art assets. According to a very interesting Time magazine article which also pointed out the Vatican is also the Holy See, but never both at the same time. They change names depending whether they want international law to work for or against them.
Thus a criminal priest can take refuge in a Vatican Embassy (recognised as a state and therefore cannot be entered without permission) then fly to the Vatican which suddenly becomes the Holy See which is not recognised as a state and therefore has no extradition treaties and is not bound by international law.
Something like that anyway; it was very interesting.
