Most of the side effects are short to medium term.

I flew with a tooth abcess once, it was pretty painful.

This is a normal post Yes you can fly, there are lots of people now with these fitted.
You'll need to tell the guard at security you have one because it'll set off the detectors.

You may not be able to have an MRI in the future though.
