This is a link post The Naked Scientists are being axed by BBC East I made this!
Apparently we're "too specialist" and "not local enough".

We're not happy about the decision, to put things mildly. The BBC local radio audience are not served by any high-quality science reporting outside our show, and from January they will have none at all.

In my last job my boss insisted on playing local radio, it was dreadful shit because it was too local, shame the bbc insist on playing it safe
