I'm surprised people are that bothered by the fx
they seem a lot better than the dialogue, acting, costumes, lighting, post production, etc etc etc
Apparently it's original title was "Mermaid Island USA Vs The Plesiosaurs"
And it's co-written by Randall Frakes, of Hell comes to Frogtown fame.
