Problem Blob
I have almost had to be a counsellor to my three year old over the problem blob and he had a three week period of waking up in terror and refusing to sleep with anything green visible in the room.

The Problem Blob a green blob with a single eye on the tip of his long tongue who spits out lumps of green slime that cause anything they touch to suffer from a particular problem. He is usually found in dark corners and doesn’t speak, only heaving and spluttering.
