I googled a load of stuff after reading about Centralia in a Bill bryson book (either wak in the woods or lost continent)
So I've watched this before. It's really sad. Amazing though.

Som crazy people were still living there up until a couple of years ago, it's incredible they didn't die from the fumes.
It's incredible nobody died, there was a little kid who nearly plunged to his death when a hole opened up and nearly swallowed him in his back garden, he survived by clinging onto tree roots until someone rescued him.

God, don't you hate how they edit that scene?
You only get glimpses. Should've just been 5 minutes of ass to ass, would've ruined the climax of the film obviously, but it would make mine easier...
