This is a question Pointless Experiments

Pavlov's Frog writes: I once spent 20 minutes with my eyes closed to see what it was like being blind. I smashed my knee on the kitchen cupboard, and decided I'd be better off deaf as you can still watch television.

Buttered Cats
Bread always lands butter side down, and cats always land on their feet. We all know this. What we didn't know, and what I was curious to find out, was what would happen if you selotaped some bread to a cat's back (butter side up) and threw the cat from a good height. Would butter side or feet win?

Turns out the cat lands on its feet then spends three blissful hours licking butter off its fur.

AH-HA!
i hypothesised that provided that cat was sufficiently small, the butter-side-down field from the bread would begin to react with the floor just as the cats feet-first instinct came in to play and the cat would stop just above the floor. from here one of two outcomes could occur. possibly the cat would hover static just above the floor. however, any slight imbalance in the cat/bread alignment would cause the cat to rotate. once the rotation began it would feed on itself making a dairy/kitty powered perpetual motion machine. the danger here is if the energy isnt tapped off the cat would soon reach the speed of light and tare a hole in the fabric of space-time bringing an end to all life as we know it. on this basis i deemed the experiment far to dangerous to proceed. clearly i was wrong. well done to you.
