In amongst all the tales of bitterness and poo, we occasionally get fluffy stories that bring a small tear to our internet-jaded eyes.
In celebration of this, what is the nicest thing someone's done for you? Whether you thoroughly deserved it or it came out of the blue, tell us of heartwarming, selfless acts by others.
Failing that, what nice things have you done for other people, whether they liked it or not?

Reading The Wee Witch's story reminded I've been meaning to thank some b3tans too.
I'm setting up a social business to empower other women who have been through bad, bad times. Women who have fled their homes and travelled to a country far away with children in tow, women who have seen wars up close and personal, or women who have been so down on their luck they have had to resort to selling themselves. I like doing this job, but you know, no-one can do it on their own and I haven't.
I have no money. The business has been granted a small sum of money but until it legally exists, it can't receive these funds. Having no money forces resourcefulness (read - asking anyone, anywhere who might be able to help, to help) and b3ta has yielded a fantastic group of people who have offered help.
in no particular order....
Gordonjcp, purplegod, the guy behind skinnytiger who's b3taname I can't remember and who's real name it wouldn't be right to share, for the beautiful website, hosting, advice and support when I get a panic because email won't work.
My brother, a b3ta lurker, for all his help when I notice a typo on the site at 2 in the morning and he mends it.
Kaol, for my fantastic business cards, letterheads and (coming soon) advertising stickers.
Ethelred, for offering me a place to put those advertising stickers, on his charidee car road trip car.
beckyjsbx and Madam Marlboro for offers of contacts and help with photography when we are up and running.
Clendrix for her unfailing support and offers of proofreading.
Big-Girls-Blouse for her constant reassurance that no matter how hard it gets, it *will* happen.
EDIT - I forgot Davros' Grandad. Not only has he just popped up and offered me more help, (angling for a mention matey? eh? eh?) he's offered advice on how to find funding, and been unfailingly cheerful when I was not. And his swear on Tourettes always provides me with a giggle, even on the darkest of days.
And everyone else who asks questions, offers support, has signed up to be a friend on facebook, or offered to buy the products when it gets going. It's lonely work sometimes and knowing I can come on here and rant and ramble and be supported really helps me remember what I'm doing and why.
And so to the b3tagods - without them, I'd have never met these people, the business would still feel like just an idea waiting to happen, and I might have even given up by now.
A huge massive thankyou to you all. It would not be happening without you.

It's reading things like this that make me think that the b3tans should band together and form a posse of roughnecks who wage a guerilla campaign on everything that's wrong with the world.
