This is a question Workplace Boredom

There's got to be more to your working day than loafing around the internet, says tfi049113. How do you fill those long, empty desperate hours?

It sounds to me........
.......that if this "credit crunch" continues there is a lot of slackers in the work place that can be removed with out any effect on productivity. I am going to have a good look round my office and see who we can fire.

I hope
that you don't work in the same place as me. :-/

I might have spent most of today either asleep...
but the truth is that I do what I'm paid for and I do work hard when needed.

I think the problem is that most workplaces are so union-led or scared of HR that all jobs are lowest-common-demoninator. If I expected everyone in the office to keep up with the amount of work I *could* get done, or to get on and do things without having to have it explained 47 times, then I think that most of the staff would be fired for not meeting those standards. I am sure I'm not the only one here in that situation...
