I deleted a load of it, and that didn't stop 'em.
So I've nawty stepped the two worst offenders.
What do they think the Gaz function is for?
Carrying out private chat. That's what.
To be clear, my use of the phrase 'fucking dicks' refers to the two people ruining the board for the majority. not the general posters, who I love with a sexy animal passion.

Thanks.

but I love it now.
Don't seem to be able to delete sent items though :(

Oh, and cheers for getting back to me on that request I sent at the weekend. It's a shame, but having looked at it logistically and realistically, I see why there's not a chance.

did you know?
AND ALSO I really like the fact that the I Like This! button just goes green now. Nice touch, really makes a difference now.

So: who, what, when, where, why?

just two random users using the QOTW board as their own private chat room.
Meaning that the whole QOTW is completely unreadable and shit for the several thousand people who read it daily.
Selfish, I tell you, selfish.

Can we have a Hall of Shame page, that lists naughty-step people, with the number of naughty-steppings? Yes.
Or not, because it's a shit idea and waste of time.

it would be rewarding the behaviour of irritating cunts. hence making the shit even shittier.

Hands up for my little bit of chat on the board. I was Gaz-ing too, but I think others would also like to know the translation of the bit of German I posted.
If you are interested, message me.
Anyway, this sort of thing only usually happens on Thursday pm, when people are bored waiting for a new topic!
[won't do it again, promise]

and it fitted an old injoke about newbies on the board posting "I'm Gaz. IM me."

Though the thing is that most people will probably just write
'lolz!'
Which most people do on the Links board and Main board, but in QOTW I'm pretty sure that'd be even more useless.
The reason I believe there ought to be a read more function is so comments about particular posts can be made and also links to related stories, or stories that people feel fit the one posted.
Once or twice I've found myself on the QOTW thinking 'I wish I could read what other people have commented on this story.' But I can't, cos there's no love!
Well, there's lots of love, people posting off-topic in QOTW really pisses me off though. It's meant to be a collection of stories. Only happy smiley remedy I can think of is the idea that no doubt lots of people have had of having a 'read more' for QOTW. After all, it's the only section on this beautiful site that doesn't have it.
Also, when it comes to read more, if I click on the paper icon on a post to read more I see posts beneath it, but never posts above it. So if it's a post from halfway down a thread I don't get to see the first post of the thread or any others above the one selected. I feel it ought to show the whole thread and have the 'chosen' post highlighted.
Sorry if it feels like I'm being a moany bitch, am not, I just feel these (especially the second) would be welcomed by many.
*sniff*, I love this place, and Sickipædia (sickiwicki?) too.
(P.S. after posting in a thread can we please have the option to view the thread we've just posted in? Just another, possibly neigh impossible to design, touch I feel would spruce this place up. What I've suggested probably sounds like alot of work, but pweeeese? Over time at least?)

(I think I've seen that story before, but it's the guy's only post, so it may be a new account or something?) [Name of WaGawAgA?]
Anyway... in the post was a link to a Wikipedia article, and in it I noticed:
5.1 CDC 1994 criteria (aka "Fukuda")
If only there was a 'read more' function, I could've posted that; it's just so b3ta. As though it's some official scientific paper on the Magenta Holiness.
And the word 'Fuckudder' rocks too.
