Sadly..
Theres not much thats gone wrong with the stage stuff, so ill do the best..
a few months ago i was playing in a band that we had set up for this specific one gig that we played. we were playing to about 1500 people that night, but we realised that we were about one song short of the full compliment.
This was about 5 minutes after the show had began. so we decided to just say
"ok. we're gonna improvise the last one completely. The drummer comes in with a beat, bassist plays a blues riff in E and i'll solo over the top of it for about 4 or 5 minutes."
We finally got on and it was a great success, most people commending the last song we played (the one we totally made up). The only thing that was a bit dodgy was that i had to keep telling the sound tech what to do and how high stuff needed to be... he had the drums all wrong, and you couldnt hear the piano on the stage for shit.
Meh, that considered, it sounded awesome at the end.

on the way to the lake district from where i live (peterborough)
its about a 4 hour drive i think. i was going with my parents on holiday. that day i must have eaten something rotten... being in that car for 4 hours with my bodily "air freshener" going off every 10 minutes (with extremely unpleasant circumstances) was not something that would start that holiday off with a breath of fresh air.
i kept it up for pretty much that entire week, then abruptly stopped when i got back home.

Television Soaps.
1) They are utter shit, boring and cannot hold the attention of someone stuck in a room with only a television set for company
2) Although making it realistic would be very boring (hey, sit on your arse watching fictional characters lives while you could be trying to get one yourself!!), the way they make it like so much shit happens on the same street makes it shit and really laughable.
3) Shit accents. Oh, fuck off, please. Go and snog a chav.
4) Crap predictible plot twists, I dont give a shit that mandy slept with her husbands brother who is in jail for murdering the local farmers dog who was going to get put down for going for the locals' throats. It's just stupid!
5) Shit theme tunes. A 4 year old could make better midi files.
I think thats about enough ranting.

by the time the rest of us were merry enough, he had passed out on his bed. a pool of sick at the bottom of his bed, dribbling along the side..
this isnt the main thing of this story though, as we decided to take flourescent highlighters and pens to him and draw all over his body :D
