A friend of mine
Who is a girl working in an almost exclusively male industry was late into work by a matter of a day and a half.
When asked by her boss (male) why she'sd not been at work for a day and a half she didn't even draw breath to announce...
"Abnormal discharge"
Apparently her boss couldn't even look at her straight for a couple of days.
Real reason: She'd decided to extend a weekend ski trip (she's loaded).

The downfall of society as instigated by myself and friends...
White socks were VERBOTEN! at my west country middle school. We wore VERY light grey socks. Cue conversation:
Teacher: Are you wearing white socks?
Student: No, they're grey.
Teacher (following closer inspection): Oh... OK.
Student (silently in own head): Yeah, stick that fascist! (Too conformist even to swear in our own heads)
Pre-teen years I wore a leather cap with fold down furry earmuffs for about a year (summer included). Bizarrely this started something of a fashion at school for similar stupid hats.
Upper school I really got into my stride, purple rucanor boots, black jeans, "dreadlocks" (These just look fucking stupid on any white guy, myself included), various hats, gobby little twat* etc.
This really upset the teachers, not least the cornish nationalist head of 6th form, but I backed this up by achieving good exam results "in spite of my appearance".
HaHa, see me stick it to the man!!
I am now an IT manager, how COOL am I?
*I did graduate to being a gobby big twat but a significant reduction in alcohol consumption has mellowed my anarchy!
