my conclusion is a USB port does not provide enough power to boil a kettle

... you could use your USB port to charge up a f-off massive capacitor bank, or maybe just a car battery, really slowly over a week or two and then turn on the kettle automatically when you have enough charge stored.... only one cupper a month but USB powered!

thanks to my mum knowing the owner, i got the whole place done. parquet in the living room, bedroom and hall, victorian tile in the kitchen and greek mosaic in the bathroom, all delivered and fitted for £420
