I have one of those cables for something, and it makes me happy that, as a consequence, my 4-port hub is fully populated despite only having 3 devices in it.

PS. Technically it's probably OCPD rather than OCD.

What annoys me, in a tedious, geeky way, is that the two cables that I own that do that, although they look identical, only seem to work with the device they were supplied with. USB2 standard, my arse.

By the time you hook up the Keyboard, Mouse, Printer, and USB-Powered speakers, there's not a damned port left on the back.
