when I worked for Trebor, someone managed to screw up twice with the same machine and got badly scalded by a load of steam.
Twice she got compo and twice she got to keep her job.
It's mainly a case of whether you want to carry on in the same happy environment.
Edit: Of course, if you're actually seriously hurt it's probably a good idea to put a claim of some sort in - health insurance?

*EDIT these things take ages to get settled too so if you're gonna do it , the sooner you start the better , my bro in law lost the tip of his finger in a work accident and it took over a year before his claim payed up
