# incredible likeness
any of you fancy helping me out tonight? Just spent all night working on nightmare database stuff and come up with an oober l33t text-in thing for the radio station i work at....but i need to load test it. If you could spare 2 seconds to send a text to the number then hit refresh to verify it comes up.

Two promises 1) it's an o2 simcard wired to my home pc... so i'm not storing any of the numbers, and it only costs the usual price of a text message.

p.s. is jim vulga still alive? then he hasn't had nearly enough ale!
(, Sun 2 Nov 2003, 0:53, archived)
# duh heres the address
(, Sun 2 Nov 2003, 0:54, archived)
# Works

edit: Your audio streams don't work in iTunes though. Bloody Windows Media :(
(, Sun 2 Nov 2003, 0:58, archived)
# very neat.
how do you do it then?
(, Sun 2 Nov 2003, 1:02, archived)
# magic of the wookie hole witch
and my old nokia 7110 with a data cable... held together by blu tac cos the battery is loose! When a text comes in theres a bit of trickery that sends it as an http request to a server and stores the message in a database
(, Sun 2 Nov 2003, 1:05, archived)
# is it documented
trickery? or did you make it up?
(, Sun 2 Nov 2003, 1:07, archived)
# .
it's a cheeky workaround of an existing bit of software originally designed to send texts as emails.

It seems to be cutting all the messages short, I think I may know why though.......(goes off to tweak)
