Ah, different country.England is different. We can't expel people as easily, and on top of that, another school in the area is obligated to take them on. If the child gets expelled enough, then they'll end up back where they started. :(

It's probably a good thingthat you didn't have to defend yourself by hitting him. You would have been arrested before him. The child protection bill is a bit fucked up that way

I wouldn't have hit him anyhoo.Not good practice. If I was attacked properly, safest thing to do is pin him against a wall or sit on him. ^_^
