ARgh! Punnage.
Talking of which, can anyone recommend any decent 17" tft monitors?

Go to a proper shop,
and don't buy one unless they'll let you actually see the one in the box you're paying for. Get them to turn it on, look closely for busted pixels. Apart from that, it's mostly a matter of how much you want to spend really, assuming you go for a reputable name.

17" tft monitors - Reply to Juan whatever whatever.....
Never mind 17, go for 19" - try Novatech (on-line) I got one for about £250-280, and when it arrived, it had only 1 dead pixel (ok, so I got lucky) - it is RIGHT in the middle and can play havoc with UT cross-hairs, ('cos I don't move about much - a feature of age c.f. discussion of a coupla weeks ago) but truly a wonderful screen for the price. Just run a search on their site - it's their own brand.
