Predators like lions will go for any prey that looks out of the ordinary or appears to be a weak target.

This was proved during a conservation effort where Giraffes had paint thrown on them to mark them as part of some census.

They were all eventually killed by predators that had figured there was something wrong with them that made them an easy kill.

Top conservation!
