EDIT At the risk of offering unwanted advice. If you right click on, lets say, the layer icon for the cap and select 'blending options' then click on 'shadow'. You can make the cap blend in better by playing with the shadow effect:D

There's some great stuff in the blending options.I warn you though, it's a slippery slope. You start by dabbling in tutorials and then end up mainlining B3ta bashes:P
