# Sorry, but I'm in quite fervent disagreement with you there.
My drummer, who's 24 is far more accomplished, talented and generally better, IMO. Plus he's not a self satisfied cunt like Ringo.

But hey, opinion is king.

# my drummer's older than yours
and much smaller i'll wager

# I don't doubt it, mine's a big tall gangly git.
He's one of the loveliest people though, bless him. Awww.

# heh mine is a little sinewy lumberjack
great player, really creative and loads of animal energy, in fact he is quite a lot like Animal

# Haha, mine's a big tall chef
that hums all the songs and can do a blastbeat that'd make your eyes water.

# sweet
maybe we have the opposite of each other's band. Like ying and yang.

# Hehehe, right
we are:

two guitarists, one big and dready and one shorter and most of the time baldy with massive beard (for the purposes of illustration imagine Nick Olivieri but less ugly and a lot more clothed- he'll probably hate me for saying that but the hair choices are similar), little lady bassist (hello) and aforementioned drummer.

# we lost a guitarist to CoD4 :-(
Might get a new one.

We just look like various sizes of troll.

# ours runs thus:
singer: 80s soft metalhead
guitarist 1: tall geeky indiepop kid
guitarist 2: Mr Classic Rock
dub-obsessed Jewish bassist
me on drums - I like field recordings and the Uzbekistani doutar

needless to say, the rhythm section dominates everything else, and I am in entirely the wrong band

# I'm just a geek drummer in that I just want to sound like a TR-808

# As I have no idea what that is
I'm choosing to believe it is an electronic Tyrannosaurus.

This is a good ambition.

# he may not be
be the most technically proficient drummer in the world, but technique soon becomes boring if there is no thought or creativity behind it, which I would argue is true for all instruments.

In my opinion, Ringo's drumming in The Beatles was original, musical and full of personality. But if you don't like it, then that's that I suppose.

I try my best not to find out anything about the personalities of the people who make music I like. They almost always turn out to be cunts and that kind of spoils it for me.

# Tell me about it, I'm a huge Zeppelin fan.
Apparently Robert Plant's a complete and utter twatbag. And I've been in love with the man for about 12 years now.

# although they did use the drummer from the Blues & Royals (Household Cavalry) as a session drummer, you know

# Ringo played on pretty much everything
with the exception of a couple of tunes from the first sessions with EMI (Love me do and some other stuff) and The Ballad of John and Yoko which was Paul on drums.

There may be one or two other tracks I am forgetting about, but it was almost entirely Ringo,
