The challenge is open
BTW: What would people think if one challenge per month was set by the b3ta team?

uh?
Nah, I'm suggesting that the B3ta team actually puts MORE ideas into the challenge. Have a "Dictatorship challenge thing." B3ta Wants you to ...

hey, is the dog nose thing over today?
I haven't even done one yet!

Instead
so it's
Week 1: Evil Dictator challenge
Week 2: Board vote
Week 3: Board vote
Week 4: Board vote
and loop.

Wouldn't there be a danger of Commie infiltration?
I mean, next it'll be every two weeks, and soon you'll be stealing our cheese.

And why not?
So long as criteria stay as loose and obscure as ever (i.e. - not worth1000-ish).

When we started the challenges
I was always keen on keeping them about humour rather than technique. Hence no "colourise this back and white photo" type stuff. I've got a lot of time for worth1000 - lot's of talent there - but it's not what makes me laugh.

Precisely.
They do their thing, b3ta does its slightly sillier thing.
I know which one I prefer - not only because I lack the technical expertise, but also because I'd rather giggle at a pic than admire its professional execution.

Besides
when lacking hummus, the last thing you want is someone with a surfeit.

Whereas I do lack the technical expertise
... and so think up challenge stuff that I can actually enter.

If we start making sudden changes like that
then the terrorists win!
I like moving along quickly anyways; people run out of ideas really soon

yay
that would be cool..
also... how about "front page of the month"
and also a "view my profile" button at the top, and a username search?
I don't ask for much really..

I TAKING MY BALL HOME!!!
I believe it used to be like it in the old days?
But how about bring back 'shop a randomly selected picture'. It popped up a couple of months ago as a mini-challenge, tis quite a laugh.

yeah it did
and we changed it 'cause people moaned about some of the crapness of the challenges we thought up. But now I'm thinking a half way house might be good. 75% board voted challenges and 25% evil dictator challenges.

I agree it may be difficult sometimes
but then the word 'challenge' suggests that really doesn't it? :)
